Cartoon (life considered): help us in our slide of need…

I had a great catch up with Jo Balfour today who runs Progressiva. Jo and I used to work together and she’s now running her own PR agency, focusing on offering a personalised service backed by her strong track record. Over coffee we chatted about lots of things related to working on your own business and flying solo. Once comment (the cartoon tagline) during one of our conversations really stuck in my head about having self-belief and being an expert. Whatever you say or do, it helps to do it convincingly. I guess this is never more obvious than when presenting in new business - say it with belief or don’t say it at all.

Whilst dodging the thunder and lightning today in North Sydney, I had a great catch-up with a former colleague Susan Moore, now PR Manager Asia Pacific at Gartner. The coffee was good as was the banter. I’d seen a Tweet this week about this really interesting prediction from Gartner about email. As somebody who now communicates more and more on Twitter and Facebook, I definitely believe this shift away from email is happening and it sparked this cartoon. Imagine that: email out of a job.
