I illustrated BMC Software’s ‘The Adventures of Mark and Greg’ award winning technology leadership book. A big thanks goes to Howorth and Pip Livingstone at BMC for getting me to pitch in ideas and then develop them into the final versions you see in the book.
The book and interest in it really snowballed – so much so, it was part of the campaign that won the following Asia PR Week Awards 2007 categories:
- Best Technology PR Campaign of the Year
- Best Regional (Asia Pacific) Campaign of the Year
- Best Business to Business Campaign of the Year
There’s more. ‘The Adventures of Mark & Greg’ was also the winner in the 2008 WPPED CREAM awards in the Public Relations category. The annual WPPED CREAM awards recognise the very best work produced by WPP companies globally in all disciplines across eight marketing categories, including PR. I am extremely flattered and honoured that my illustrations played a critical role in helping to secure these awards as well as helping to humanise what can be a very complex subject . It’s exciting to think of the journey these illustrations have taken: from my studio drawing board, into the book and then infront of the eyes of BMC Software employees, media, PR professionals and WPP employees who flicked through the WPPED CREAM award book. It really shows the power and reach of visual communications.
